Decisions

People keep telling me not to make any big decisions while I’m grieving. Is that right?

We need to make decisions every day of our grieving – to be active and make choices about how to carry out our grieving.

The advice you ask about is to hold off on permanent drastic changes that would be based on temporary pain or fears, like a hasty marriage to ease the pain, or selling everything and setting out on a round the world cruise to avoid the loneliness of the empty house.
